Yeah it's interesting that JG Ballard didn't take off in a big way in the U.S. In the U.K. he's a major writer. But the fact is, he is an important writer and a really enjoyable read. "Crash," "Concrete Island," and "High Rise" sticks to me way after reading them. A remarkable mind, and for sure he's up there with such authors as Philip K. Dick and William S. Burroughs.
